Maxi Scheller explores cities and landscapes by placing herself as a character within each photograph. Through her avatar, she reflects on the attempt to adapt to unfamiliar surroundings — questioning whether it can truly blend into a foreign environment, while revealing the quiet loneliness that can come with trying to belong.
